For Australian points-tested skill migration, you must do a Skills Assessment. Once you have identified the correct ANZSCO occupation, you must then apply to have your education and work experience assessed against this ANZSCO occupation. The VETASSESS is the Assessing Authority for these occupations. Assessment is based on mainly two things: 1) Qualification, and 2) Work Experience. VETASSESS has categorized occupations into groups A, B, C, D and E based on skill level. All the occupations here are in Group B which requires skill level of Bachelor degree or higher in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation. Work experience required ranges from 1 to 3 years, but additional 5 years may be required if the employment obtained was post-qualification. Please take a look at the illustration below.
