WA received additional nomination allocation for skill visas

On 25 March 2022, Western Australia has received an additional nomination allocation for the State Nominated Migration Program, from the Department of Home Affairs, for the remainder of the 2021-22 program year.

The next invitation round is expected to be held in the first week of April 2022. It should be followed with invitations in May and June 2022. If you are interested in WA nomination visas (i.e. Subclass 190 or 491), and you believe you may be eligible for these visas, please do contact us for assistance.

You can apply for WA State nomination by meeting the requirements of the following streams:

  • General stream WASMOL
  • Graduate stream

General stream WASMOL

  • You must be currently living in Australia
  • If your nominated occupation is in ANZSCO Group 1 or 2, you must have proficient English, otherwise competent English is sufficient. You don’t need to provide evidence of an English test if you hold passport from United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, the United States of America or Ireland
  • You must have a contract of employment in your nominated (or closely related) occupation for full time employment in Western Australia for at least 12 months
  • You must have an occupation on either the Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 occupation lists
  • If your nominated occupation is on the Schedule 1 occupation list, you must be able claim at least 5 points for work experience in your Expression Of Interest

Graduate stream

  • You must currently living in Australia
  • If your nominated occupation is in ANZSCO Group 1 or 2, you must have proficient English, otherwise competent English is sufficient. You don’t need to provide evidence of an English test if you hold passport from United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, the United States of America or Ireland
  • You must have studied and be a graduate from Western Australia
  • You must have at least 6 months Australian work experience in your nominated (or closely related) occupation, or have a 6 month contract of employment in your nominated (or closely related) occupation in Western Australia
  • You must have an occupation on the Graduate occupation list
