The Business Innovation and Investment visa requires an Expression Of Interest (EOI) to be submitted. This is a points system and invitations depend on the points a potential visa applicant can score. The higher score, then better chance of an invitation. Here is an explanation of how it works.
You must score a minimum of 65 points before you can even submit your EOI. There are a number of categories where you can try to get more points. If you are a young, well educated, experienced business owner or investor with good English proficiency, and you have a lot of assets and your business has high turnover, then you should do well. Therefore, some of the main categories to get points are: Age, English Proficiency, Financial Asset, and Business Turnover, to name a few. Within each of these categories, there is a range of points you can potentially get. For example, if you have over AUD2.25 million in assets, you get the maximum of 35 points for this category.
The Subclass 188 visa requires State Nomination before you can submit your visa application. At Tanson Migration, we can help you check your EOI points, review the visa requirements for each State, and help you prepare all the supporting document for visa application.
If you are interested in the points-tested work visas (i.e. Subclass 189, 190, or 491), you should check-out our previous Facebook post that explained EOI Points for those visas.
