Australia Migration Program 2020-21

The Australia Federal Budget for 2020-21 has been announced, and the following are the information related to the Department of Home Affairs and the migration program.

In addition to the above numbers, there will be processing priority given to a number of visa programs.

There are a number of notable changes and announcements below.
- The Business, Investment and Innovation Program will focus on higher value investors, business owners and entrepreneurs and improve the economic outcomes of the program, and there will be an increase of 11.3% (above regular CPI indexation) for the visa application charges on 1 July 2021.
- A new whole-of-government Global Business and Talent Attraction Taskforce will be established.
- English language requirements will be introduced for Partner visa applicants AND the sponsor.
